Its usually that you’ve experienced the gold standard of something before and now you can’t achieve it again, so everything in comparison looks boring.

Not to be confused with nostalgia, but movies for example had a peak period of production and entertainment value that is long gone. Modern hollywood almost looks like slop compared to even decent film hits 30+ years ago, but anyone who hasn’t experienced that era wouldn’t know. You just never know when you’re in a golden era until its over because it’s all relative to your perspective. And it’s always possible another golden era appears, its just very unlikely.

Aside from that, I heavily critique everything because I used to be a big fiction reader and now I can’t help but notice every plot hole, character development flaw, trope, and archetype in literally any media.

They say don’t judge a book by its cover, but its gotten to the point where I can reasonably deduce most of the story of a movie from its quick description, which is not a good thing.

NTFS meanwhile functionally reflects FAT32. It has no proper block allocation algorithm, so files get fragmented and placed in poor locations all over the physical disk. Tools like defraggler became super popular because they provided serious and visible IO gains from defragging your drives.

Compare that to ext4 which only begins to fragment once you hit something like 95%+ capacity.

Jokes on you, Pakistan has a ton of natural resources that the small elite chooses to shoot people for attempting to harvest/refine/sell, which is why they import literally everything on IMF loan money and simultaneously invest jack into education and science outside a few high level military projects which gave them the nuclear bomb.

The entire lunch trade economy tanked overnight, and something like 25-35% of students’ parents at my school actually opted to stop buying school lunch because of how much the nutritional quality and portion size dropped.

I still remember the mini pancakes breakfast went from 10 pieces to 4, they got rid of the fresh fruit salad that came with it (different mix of fruits each week), and the syrup got replaced with what can only be described as leftover corn syrup from a soda machine. That thing would last you all but 30 minutes before you were hungry again and I would actually not be surprised if it stunted student mental development considering all the research behind the downsides of children not eating breakfast before school.

First time ever I was able to trade oranges, bananas, and mandarins for basically anything because the only fresh fruit that became available was dead sour apples that almost no one liked.

That was also incidentally around the same time they started taking away lunches from students who couldn’t pay after crackdowns on cafeteria employees giving out free meals, though I’m not sure if that was a federal after effect or just my state.

The only thing they fixed (partially) was the screwed up food pyramid with the stupid my plate marketing campaign which they wasted a ton of money printing out fliers and posters to hang on every wall, except no lunchroom was actually able to fulfill the ratio.

Not only did we all make fun of the fact that reaching the ratio in the poster was now impossible, it’s still incorrect and might as well be a food pyramid 2.0.

I did a 2 minute lazy search when people were talking about this, and its not just some random reddit post, several people working at stores posted online on several platforms that stock was being moved around or removed entirely.

Most likely its just brick and mortar stores moving product around to locations that are actually selling, or planning ahead for black friday deals. Nothing groundbreaking, but this site was the first that was heavily defending Microsoft for no reason lol.

As an extremely experienced former K12 student^/s , I can tell you this promise is worth absolutely jack shit.

My burning fury for the Democratic party pretending to care about its constituency started with Michelle Obama nuking my school lunch.

Although to be fair, a rotting prison meal is still better than the Republican alternative of no food at all.
