All of that is great, but he’s ignoring the biggest problem with the democratic party. It’s such a “big tent” that it lacks a cohesive vision. That’s why only strongly charismatic leaders like Obama are able to do well. Listen to the interview, I completely understand where Martin is coming from and he wants the voters to dictate the direction of the party without putting the thumb of the DNC on the scale. That’s great and all, but it also kind of throws out the entire point of the party as a platform and a sort of shorthand for a set of policies. It doesn’t surprise me at all that Martin’s vision worked at a state level, but how does it work at a national level? Hopefully it works well and certainly it can’t be worse that what was previously being done.

That interview was pretty wild. It was like he was trying to gaslight Jon the entire time. Jon would bring up a point and Martin would respond with a “yes and.” However, that “and” would be an elaborate way of saying “actually no.”

The new chair also sucks. Listen to the interview Jon Stewart did with him on his podcast. The guy has no direction or vision for the party.

Except paying taxes. He famously would have toilets removed from his multiple homes so he didn’t have to pay the same property taxes on them since they weren’t livable without toilets. All billionaires are scum bags.

You’re delusional if you think you are debating her. No, the intent would be to convince enough people that her beliefs and actions are vile.

Those procedures modified her though and are a part of her now. You can argue this all you want. I really don’t care. They don’t have a leader or any vision. You can’t fight for a dramatic change without a unified vision and strong leader that is willing to do things that may seem unpopular to some. That can certainly depend on the lunch. Usually in the morning I would do idling tasks like checking email and just simple stuff. I would be hungry and mostly just waiting for lunch. Thinking about that now, I wonder if it would be different now that I’m taking GLP1. That’s that “food noise” that gets muted. I would always take the earliest possible lunch and then come back ready to knock some stuff out.

Sure, but again why do that when there are so many other valid reasons to make fun of her? You belittle your own position when you do that.

Children have always been used as tools. It’s either we have to stop pedophiles or we have to “think of the children.” Both excuses get used by both parties to strip rights away from us.

To be fair, I actually agree with her on this. Making fun of someone for how they look is lazy. Especially when there are so many other things that are so easy to pick apart. A general rule of thumb I have is to never make fun of someone about something they are, but something they do is totally fair game.
