Yeah, sorry, I meant for anyone worried about windows crash reports.
Microsoft controls your windows OS.

I’ve wondered for a while if something like this is why Google allowed their bootloaders to be unlocked, because they can get at everything anyways.
And I bet that if that was the case, they’ve backed off that for future phones because of those stories about law enforcement seeing having those phones as suspicious, which could hurt sales, since I bet the majority of pixel users don’t switch operating systems.
Though iirc a system crash report can include a kernel dump, which can contain things like private keys.
Though realistically, Microsoft controls your OS. They could easily add code to allow them to grab whatever they want from your system without any logging (by your system anyways).
That actually makes me wonder if there are any apps that run on both a system and the router that system is connected to to determine if the internet traffic as reported by the system (to the user) is the same as what the router sees as a way to detect anything using network resources but bypassing the normal network stack.
Just give them to some local children to play with.
As an aside, am I the only one who always thought Alfred was kinda a piece of shit for that story? Like a lot of Batman stuff hasn’t aged well, but even when I first watched that movie, going scorched earth for a jewel thief was fucked up.
Some people want to watch the world burn. Alfred actually did set their world on fire and watched it burn.
I hope the world learns to never be so dependent on one country ever again.
That’s why I find the idea of heaven to be self-contradictory.
One person’s idea of heaven might be one where they don’t need to worry about others wanting sex with them. Another’s might be one where everyone is happy to have sex with them. And another might be most happy in a monogamous relationship where they are with their partner and no one else is even interested in their partner. (Also what about widows and widowers who remarry?)
Or hell, a simpler example: three people, one of which considers the other two their very best friends while the other two only like that one and would rather not spend time with each other.
So unless there’s a new version of heaven for each set of desires (maybe even with a version of you that is happy there, to make those who want to be with you in that heaven happy), the whole thing will be great for some but probably miserable for many more (because you can’t please everyone), which defeats the entire premise of paradise for everyone.
Not that this disproves anything, for all I know the many versions one might be the case or maybe heaven exists but is only fun for some people (which honestly is consistent with how religion generally works on earth anyways).
Edit: fixed a word, plus added the bit about widows.
Googley eye napping.
I’d consist Dark Souls 1 open world, there just isn’t a lot of open space and you have to fight to get anywhere.
Breathedge has the subnautica kinda feel to it, though it might be tuned a bit on the pain in the ass side (I’m still early in to it and haven’t yet decided if I like it, but it has that feel).
Or for a game with more of a crafting/building emphasis, Planet Crafter also gives some of those vibes.
Yeah, I was put off by about everything in that game.
I don’t disagree with you on the evilness that is involved with pretty much all conquering imperial powers (whether it’s an empire or republic backing it), but Rome didn’t invent that. They made some advancements in military tactics, strategies, and logistics. But conquest was done before them.
Alexander the great had an empire that rivaled Rome’s side when he died (and there are other example in recorded history of it being done earlier, like in Egypt, Gilgamesh, and many others). And even the whole “you can keep your culture as long as you join the empire” was done by Persia before Rome did it.
I think it’s a product of having grown up during the time when accessing commercial applications was about as easy as accessing the free ones at a time where many of the free ones were just pale imitations. And before the enshitification had really gotten going.
What is with this art style that makes it look both really good and really bad at the same time? Is it just the poor understanding of anatomy putting the poses into the uncanny valley while shading looks good or is there more to it?
Edit: I think the facial expressions play into it, too. Everyone looks like a meloncholy neutral.
So far I’ve been impressed with what AI can do with coding. I had it write some scripts for me on one of my previous work tasks and it did the majority of the code writing and even majorly assisted the debug process.
And now I’m using it for another task and it’s already improved significantly since the last one. You can now interrupt it if if gets stuck in some kind of loop and the required debug phases are fewer. Hell, it’s even reading between the lines of my prompts effectively and implemented a verbosity feature in a second script just because I had requested it in the first one.
With the first task, I was holding its hand as far as data structures and such were concerned. This time, I’m instructing it at a higher level. And while it does help that I can understand the code it generates, I said last time that it was good enough to start replacing interns, I think at this point it’s ready to start replacing junior programming positions.
Personally, the more interested in something I am, the harder it will be to get me a related gift I’ll be happy about. I’ve probably already got the more obvious stuff, and decent versions of them that I put a lot of thought into selecting.
That’s why I personally try to avoid interests and give gifts that are generally useful but less obvious. Things that people might have on a mental “that would be nice to have but I can’t be bothered right now” list.
Yeah, the accurate 4th panel would show the guy seizing on the ground.
Look for the corner that goes on the top part of the matress and use that as the corner and treat the extra bit with the elastic like frilly trim to ignore. It’s not perfect but I’ve been able to consistently get something that resembles a rectangle out of it instead of a ball.
Two thirds, either by volume or weight. We guarantee the lesser of the two but strive to exceed both!
Close. It’s called Ground.
Yeah, if I want to know what the colour is to find other instances of that thing easier, it takes 2 seconds to determine the colour. But I can’t remember ever actually doing that.
That retunr typo will be caught by the compiler. That’s what pass 1 is pretty much for, spell and syntax check.
