Biblical justice is literally not equal justice for all.

foreigners could be taken as slaves, women were somewhere between the indentured israelites and the chattel slaves. (closer to the chattel slaves, if we’re being honest.

Oh. and we all know they’re not following biblical justice anyway, because they’re not in jail. And they certainly don’t stone their daughters when they have sex before marriage.

Religious people are dangerous

When they think they’re beholden only to an imaginary friend, they’re capable of horrible things

Speaking as a religious person, that’s not the dangerous bit.

The dangerous bits are:
1. Having a world view that has motivations involving what you think will happen after you die
2. Believing what some rich and powerful person says your imaginary friend wants you to do instead of actually putting in the work to figure it out for yourself and apply some critical thought.

If religious people were capable of critical thought, they wouldn’t be religious.

I know a guy whose religion is (Louisiana) Barbecue, and he’s pretty capable of critical thinking.

And I’m pretty sure when he’s cooking.. everyone is a convert.
