If anyone else is wondering, Jeri Ryan is 5’8” (~173 cm). I looked it up because I didn’t have the impression she was short.
Mark Hamill is 5’7” (~170 cm). Perhaps Stormtroopers are just taller than most people
Jango Fett/Storm Trooper template Temura Morrison is 5’9”, so there’s an argument to be had. At least pre ANH.
However, by Luke’s time, stormtroopers were conscripted, not cloned. And we know the average stormtrooper is tall enough to hit their head walking through a doorway. ;)
Hence the qualifier pre episode IV. Love me some Clone Wars.

Watch The Bad Batch! In the waning days of the Clone Wars, the contract and facility on Kamino were “cancelled” with new conscripts being trained by remaining clone forces.
I think they were in different seasons though.
