That’s how the Bible and many other religious texts that their morals come from frame it. Women and children are the property of men.

While true, this doesn’t really hold as the reason for their actions. If this were really their reason, they’d be fine with people having their kids transition. After all, they demand the right to do whatever they want with their property, including denying them lifesaving vaccines and other medicines based purely on vibes or their religious/political brain washing. Yet they care so fucking much about what other parents do with their kids. It’s about control with the far right. All they really want is to control everyone. They don’t think women, children, the left, queer people, trans people, nonwhite people, basically any people who aren’t like them, should have any say in how they live their lives. They want everyone to do what they say, no matter what it is, and every reason or justification they give is a lie. It might even be a lie they tell themselves too, but it’s always a lie.
