I recall watching a movie that was in English with Japanese subtitles, there was an interrogation scene where the characters were talking: the interrogator said to the suspect: “You’re an accessory” (for the crime in question) but “accessory” via the Japanese subtitles mistranslated that into 小物 (which means accessories: as in supplementary items like purses, belts, etc). when the context leans closer to 共犯者 ("accomplice").

So I just got down watching the Riddick Trilogy for the first real time in years. I had seen the third one, Riddick, in theaters when it first came out, and liked it enough but just kinda brushed it off as a generic sci-fi movie. It wasn’t until a few years later when I watched Pitch Black and then Chronicles of Riddick, and started becoming a fan.

I just watched the new Animal Farm with the expectation that it would be a watered down version without much of a message left but I was pleasantly surprised. Granted, it’s been a while since I’ve read the book. But the gist of it seems to be there. But with the communist criticism replaced by capitalism criticism.
